Animal Unit For Kids
Do you want to create an entire animal unit around this alligator craft? If so, keep reading on for more ideas!
Reading aloud is an important activity for preschoolers. Reading out loud not only improves their language skills but also helps them develop listening comprehension skills so they’re prepared for school. You’ll be amazed at how much your child will learn from just hearing the sound of your voice! That’s why we recommend starting any unit with books!
Below are some of our favorite animal books for kids:
The Box Turtle: Terrance is one unusual turtle. He was born without a shell, so he carries around a box on his back at all times. Follow Terrance on an adventure to discover how it’s okay to be different!
Grumpy Monkey: Grumpy Monkey is one grumpy little fellow but he just doesn’t know why. His friends all try to cheer him up, but in the end, he realizes, he just needs one day to feel his emotions and be grumpy!
See You Later, Alligator: Kids who love rhyming and silliness will want to read this cute book about Tortoise leaving on an adventure! On his way out, he must say goodbye to all his friends. But, by the time he’s done, the park gates are closed and he has to stay another day! Kids will want to read this book over and over again.
Crafting with kids offers tons of benefits. It’s a great way to foster creativity and imagination in your child. Plus, it helps them develop fine motor skills! That’s why we would add even more crafting into your unit studies.
