Our newest craft is a fun one perfect for springtime or when the kids are learning about nursery rhymes! They can recite the rhyme while making this adorable baa baa black sheep craft.

Easy Black Sheep Craft

Not only is this craft great for kids to practice using scissors, fine motor skills, and following directions, it introduces them to rhymes. Rhyming is a great way for kids to improve their language skills by teaching them to pronounce and spell words.

Your kids will love to include our black sheep in their next crafting session! It’s a fun craft to put together, and we make it easy for you to prepare by providing a free template. All you’ll need is a few basic crafting supplies like paper, scissors, and glue.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Directions

Download the sheep template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the eyes just below each of the eyebrows.

Take the head fluff and glue it to the top of the sheep’s head.

Place the sheep’s head near on end of the sheep’s body and glue it in place.

Finish up by gluing the legs to the bottom of the sheep’s body, on the backside.

Spring Activities For Kids

Build on beginning literacy and fine motor skills with our butterfly worksheets. Kids will practice recognizing uppercase and lowercase Bb’s when they make their way through the letter maze.

On the handwriting page, kids will practice forming Bb’s correctly with the help of the dotted line as well as the word, “butterfly”. Finally, they’ll label a butterfly with pieces they cut and paste in place.

Kids will have a blast using their scissors on these bee cutting practice worksheets. These bee-themed worksheets will help kids to master using scissors when they cut along the dotted lines and cut out the correct answers. These sheets also teach counting, matching, and problem-solving.
