Cute Bat Craft For Halloween

This craft is a great way for kids to work on their fine motor skills as they carefully cut and paste the bat together. It’s also an opportunity to practice their handwriting as they write a note on the inside of the card!

You’ll need just a few basic crafting supplies and our free template to make this batty friend. Read on below for the step-by-step instructions to see how easily this bat card comes together.

Supplies

• Colored cardstock or construction paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Bat template (enter your email in the form at the end of the post to get the template)

Directions

Download the bat template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Fold the card base along the dashed line and cut out the bat body, leaving the top part uncut.

Take the eyes and glue them underneath both of the eyebrows.

Place the outer ears on the top and back of the bat’s head and glue them down.

Next, take the inner ears and glue them in the middle of both outer ears.

Position the belly in the middle and bottom of the bat’s body.

Glue the wings to the back and middle of both sides of the bat’s body.

Open the card and write a fun message inside!
