If your child loves elephants, you’re in the right place!
There’s something inherently majestic about elephants and kids are naturally drawn to them too. That’s why we’ve created this cute elephant craft for kids.
We’ve made lots of animal crafts in the past, but never an elephant. Today we’re changing that with this simple project.
Like most of our other crafts, it comes with a free printable template which makes it perfect for creating with preschool and kindergarten aged children.
Use this idea for an e is for elephant unit, when your kids are learning about zoo animals, or just for fun.
Read on below or watch our quick video tutorial to see how it’s made.

Directions
Download the elephant template, print and cut out the pieces. If you’re making this craft with kids who don’t have the dexterity to cut by themselves, it will help things go more smoothly if the pieces are cut out ahead of time and ready to go.

Take the two eyes and glue them near the middle of the head, as the pictures show.

Use the dark gray marker to draw wrinkle lines along the trunk. Glue the trunk in the middle of the head, slightly over top the two eyes.

Use the .5″ circle punch or scissors to cut out two circles for the elephant’s cheeks. Glue them on either side of the trunk. If you prefer, you can also use a pink marker to draw them on.

Glue the pink inner ear to the gray outer ear. Repeat this on both sides. Add a little glue to the inside of both ears and glue the ears to the back of the elephant’s head.

Take the neck and glue it behind the elephant’s head, on the bottom side.

That’s how simple it is to make your own cute little elephant!
Because this craft is so easy to assemble, we think it’s ideal for make with older toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten children.
