Giraffe Headband Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Kids love to go to the zoo and are fascinated by the different types of animals they can see. From lions to elephants to bears, kids are excited to see animals in real life.

But kids can also get excited when they are able to craft the animals they see at the zoo!

That’s why kids will want to make a fun headband craft to show off their zoo animal pride. This giraffe headband craft is great for kids to make year-round.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Tape
  • Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Giraffe template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the giraffe template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Take the nose and mouth piece and glue it to the bottom of the giraffe’s head.

Next, take the eyes and glue them just above the nose, in the middle of the head.

Place a few spots above the eyes and glue them in place.

Place the cheeks on either side of the mouth and glue them in place.

Create the ossicones by gluing the brown circle to the top of the ossicone base. Next, glue these to the top and back of the giraffe head.

Place the completed giraffe head to the top of the neck and glue it in place, then add the spots to the giraffe’s neck.

Glue the completed giraffe to an extender. We also taped it to the back of the neck for extra strength.

Tape a headband extender to each side of the base to finish up this craft.

Giraffe Headband Craft For Kids

This giraffe headband craft is a fun zoo animal activity that kids will love to wear!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Tape
  • Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Giraffe template

Instructions

  1. Download the giraffe template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
