Giraffe Valentine Card Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and it’s a great excuse to celebrate and have some fun with the kids.

Spend some time with them crafting this adorable giraffe Valentine card craft. They’ll love creating a custom card to give to someone special!

This giraffe card is so much fun to create and makes a thoughtful gift to give to family and friends for Valentine’s Day. Kids can write their own sweet messages inside the card themselves or with a little help from you.

To make this card perfect for Valentine’s Day, we’ve used the classic pinks and reds to make our giraffe, but your kids can make it in more realistic colors if they prefer. 

This craft can be made any time of year, not just for the holiday! It would also be a fun craft to incorporate when you learn about different animals around the world.

Handmade Valentine Card Idea For Kids

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Giraffe template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the giraffe template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Fold the giraffe card base in half along the dashed line, then cut it out, leaving the top part uncut.

Take the nose and mouth piece and glue it to the bottom of the giraffe’s head.

Next, take the eyes and glue them on the head, just above the nose.

Use a marker to draw on the giraffe’s eyebrows and spots along the top of the head.

Place the ossicones at the back and top of the giraffe’s head and glue them in place.

Create the giraffe’s ears by gluing the inner ears to the outer ears.

Position the completed ears on the back and top corners of the giraffe’s head and glue them in place.

Finish up by opening the card and writing a special message inside!
