This Grumpy Monkey craft is a great accompaniment to the book, Grumpy Monkey, where kids learn about emotions.

Monkey Puppet Craft Idea

Kids can use their new monkey puppets to make reading along fun and interactive or use their big imaginations when they play with their puppets to create new stories.
While kids are busy crafting their grumpy monkey, they can tell you all about their favorite animals that Jim talks to along the way in the book.
Grab our free template, a few basic supplies, and get the kids engaged in this creative craft that goes great with story time!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Monkey template (enter your email in the form at the end of the post to get the template)
Directions
Download the monkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
Start by gluing the face to the middle of the head.
Place the inner ears inside both of the outer ears and glue them in place.
Glue the eyes below each of the eyebrows.
Create the monkey’s body by gluing the body piece to the main portion of the brown paper bag.
Finish up by gluing the head to the flap portion of the bag.

Printable Zoo Crafts
