Supplies
- Kraft paper
- Colored cardstock (in cream, yellow, dark brown and red)
- Black marker
- Small red pom pom (or red marker)
- .25″ circle punch (optional)
- Scissors
- Glue stick (this type is our new favorite)
- Reindeer template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this reindeer to life!

First, encourage your child to fold a piece of kraft paper in half “hamburger” style and position your child’s left hand along the folded end so the pinky lines up with the fold. Trace your child’s handprint and cut out.
Next, glue the red reindeer harness just below where the thumb ends. Cut off the excess pieces on each side.

Place three jingle bells evenly along the harness and glue in place.

Position the reindeer’s tail around where the harness is and glue behind the card.

Use the black marker to draw on the reindeer’s hooves.

Assemble the head by gluing the cream circle between the reindeer’s eyes.

Glue the tiny red pom pom in the center of the cream circle.

Now, help your child to glue the brown antlers behind the head.

Finally, guide your child to take the completed reindeer head on the thumb and glue in place.
