Handprint Witch Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Halloween is fast approaching and crafts are always a popular way to celebrate with kids!

This activity is a great way for Halloween to be brought into the classroom or home. You can decorate your classroom door with it or display this craft on the refrigerator!  

This handprint witch craft is fun to make and easy enough even for young children.

Kids will love to learn how to make a witch from their own paper hands!

It’s a great way to introduce young children to Halloween traditions, get them excited about the holiday, and it will make your house or room look festive!

Witch Halloween Craft

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Witch template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the witch template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Trace your child’s left and right hand onto a piece of orange paper. Cut it out and set it aside.

If you’re using the template with the large eyes, take them and glue them onto the witch’s face, on either side of her eyes.

Take the cheeks and glue them, one on each side of her mouth.

Position the 2 handprints so that the thumbs are facing each other, fingers pointed down, and slightly overlapping.

Place the witch head in the middle of the handprints and glue it in place so the handprints look like her hair.

Create the witch’s hat by gluing the hat band to the hat. Trim off any excess paper that falls off the sides.

Glue the yellow outer buckle to the middle of the hat band. Next, glue the black inner buckle in the center of the yellow rectangle.

Place the hat on the top of the witch’s head and glue it in place.
