Llama Valentines Day Card
Supplies
- Colored card stock (in pink and cream)
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Light pink and dark pink marker
- Glue stick
- Llama craft template (download form located at the end of the page)
Directions
Download the llama craft template, print and cut out the pieces.
Fold a piece of pink card stock in half “hot dog” style (you’ll be able to fit two cards on the paper this way). Place the llama head template on the paper with the flat part of the template on the fold line. Trace with a pencil. Cut out the head, leaving the fold line intact.
Place the piece you cut out in step 2 with the fold line on top. Position the llama head in the middle of the card and glue down.
Use the light pink marker to draw on cheeks, just below the eyes.
Take the llama bangs piece and place it so it cover a little of the llama face. Glue in place.
Use the light pink marker to draw the inner ear inside the llama’s ears.
Glue the completed ears on the back side of the llama head.
Place the llama neck behind the card and glue in place.
Use the dark pink marker to draw squiggly lines all over the pink fur.
Open the card up and write your special message.
This easy llama craft is too cute!
Don’t forget this craft is super simple to customize to your child’s liking. Let them choose the color of their paper and the marker for the squiggly lines.
You can even add more embellishment to it by gluing on tassels or pom poms to give it that classic trendy llama look!

Printable Llama Template Notes
When you enter your email in the form at the end of this page, you’ll receive a link to download the llama craft template.
Inside the template, we have organized it by the number of children making this craft.
If you’re making this llama valentine card with one or two kids, then use the first two pages. You’ll want to print the template out on a thick paper so it’s easier to trace onto the colored paper of your choice.
If you’re making this craft with a group of kids, skip to the end pages of the template, where you’ll find all the pieces organized by the colored paper they are to be printed on. When you use this template, you’ll skip the tracing and only need to cut out once.
Because the llama face needs to be printed on colored paper no matter how many kids are doing this craft, there’s only one page with the faces on it.
One other thing we want to say is that we only used the template as a guideline. It would be a little tedious trying to get every little piece cut out correctly so we just used it as a loose guideline and then erased any pencil marks that were left over.
If you’re using the printed version, you can flip it over and make the lines go on the back of the card.
However you end up making this llama Valentine card, we’re betting your kids will have a blast crafting it!
