Supplies

• Brown paper bag
• Colored cardstock or construction paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• 1.5″ circle punch (optional)
• Leopard template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)

Directions

Start by downloading the Spot template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this leopard to life!

Now, let’s give Spot a face! Encourage your kids to glue Spot’s head to the flap portion of the brown paper bag.

Have your kids select some colorful paper—red, blue, and green are perfect. Using a circle punch or scissors, let them cut out approximately 8 circles from each color.

With all the colorful spots ready, it’s time for your kids to get creative. They can glue the spots onto Spot’s yellow body piece, arranging them however they like. If any spots stick out over the edges, show your kids how to trim them neatly with scissors.

Finally, it’s time to put everything together. Have your kids glue Spot’s body onto the base of the brown paper bag.

And now your child is done!

This fun craft can be easily customized if your child wants. They can use pom poms, pipe cleaners, sequins, or other materials to decorate their puppets!
