Directions
Download the mummy template, print and cut out the pieces you’ll need.

Paint a paper plate in 1-2 thin coats of paint. We use acrylic paint because it covers really well, only needs one coat and dries quickly, but use any paint you have on hand. Let the paper plate dry completely before moving.

Place the mummy head template as far to the side as you can on the paper plate, trace and cut out. Trace the mummy ears on the scrap part of the paper plate and cut those out. Set aside for later.

Glue the eyes in the middle of the mummy’s head. Draw on some nostril holes with crayons or markers.

Take the printer paper and tear apart small pieces to use as a mummy wrap.
Glue the mummy wrap all over the paper plate, leaving room for the eyes to peek out. Use scissors to trim off or if you prefer, leave it the way it is.

Glue the mummy’s ears to the back of the paper plate, one on each side.

Assemble the mummy’s mouth by gluing the teeth to the top and the bottom of the mouth. Use the crayon to color the teeth gray or brown. Cut off the part of the teeth that hangs over the mouth.

Place the finished mouth below the nose in the center of the paper plate.

This craft is super simple and great for Halloween!
And, as we mentioned earlier, it’s great for working on kids fine motor skills. If you want to work on scissors skills instead, we’ve also included mummy wrap rectangles the kiddos can out instead.
