This Pikachu paper bag puppet craft can be a great way for kids who love Pokemon to work on fine motor skills, creativity, cutting – and more!

By using our free template, kids will learn how to turn an ordinary brown paper bag into an adorable Pikachu buddy.

It’s easy enough for kids as young as preschool age (or pre-K) all the way up through elementary school.

Pikachu Craft For Kids

Supplies

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black and brown marker (optional)
  • Pikachu template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the Pikachu template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin making Pikachu by gluing his eyes near the middle of the head, one on each side of his nose.

Take his cheeks and glue them on the fullest part of the bottom of his face. Cut off any excess that hangs off the side.

Make Pikachu’s ears by gluing on or drawing on the black tips. Place them behind his head and glue them in place.

Next, glue the completed head to the flap portion of the brown paper bag.

Create Pikachu’s body by gluing his arms to the middle of the body piece. Cut off any paper that hangs over the sides.

Glue the body piece onto the main part of the brown paper bag.

Finish off your Pokemon by completing his tail. Glue or draw on the brown portion of Pikachu’s tail. Next, place the tail on the back of the paper bag and glue it in place.

Pokemon fans of all ages will want to create this adorable Pikachu paper bag puppet craft!

Materials

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black and brown marker optional
  • Pikachu template

Instructions

  • Download the Pikachu template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin making Pikachu by gluing his eyes near the middle of the head, one on each side of his nose.
  • Take his cheeks and glue them on the fullest part of the bottom of his face. Cut off any excess that hangs off the side.
