First, guide your child to glue the front pieces to the top of the chest.

Next, glue the front pieces to the bottom of the chest.

Now, help your child place the straps on the bottom of the chest and glue them in place.

Position the lock in the center of the bottom piece of the chest and glue it in place.

Next, glue the gold coins above the lock, in the dark brown part of the chest.

Now color the gems and glue them on top of the gold coins.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Pirate chest template

Instructions

  1. Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. First, glue the front pieces to the top of the chest.
  3. Next, glue the front pieces to the bottom of the chest.
  4. Now, place the straps on the bottom and sides of the chest and glue them in place.
  5. Position the lock in the center of the bottom piece of the chest and glue it in place.
  6. Next, glue the gold coins above the lock, in the dark brown part of the chest.
  7. Now color the gems and glue them on top of the gold coins.
  8. Finish off by gluing the top part of the chest over the upper part of the gold coins.
