Directions

Start by downloading the pirate template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this pirate to life!

First, guide your child to glue the pirate hat to the top of your child’s photo.

Next, help your child use a hole punch to punch out the circles around the movable parts.

Now, place the brad through the shoulder hole and then through the arm piece. Push both sides of the brad towards the middle of the body. Repeat on the other side.

Take the bottom part of the shirt and push the brand through the hole and then through the leg. Push both sides of the brad towards the middle of the body. Repeat for the other side.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the head to the top portion of the body.

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Pirate template

Instructions

  1. Download the pirate template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  2. Begin by gluing the pirate hat to the top of your child’s photo.
  3. Next, punch out the shoulders, legs, and shirt holes.
  4. Now, place the brad through the shoulder hole and then through the arm piece. Push both sides of the brad towards the middle of the body. Repeat on the other side.
  5. Push the brand through the holes on the lower part of the shirt and then through the leg holes. Push both sides of the brad towards the middle of the body. Repeat on the other side.
  6. Finish off by gluing the head to the top portion of the body.
