Lately, we’ve been on a winter creating extravaganza! There’s nothing better than staying warm inside on a snow day and letting our creativity run wild.

This holiday season, we really wanted to make a statement with our decorations, and what better way to do that than by making our own?

This puffy paint snowglobe craft is just the cutest snowglobe we ever did see! It’s perfect for kids of all ages and uses simple supplies you can find in any store.

Snowglobe Craft For Kids

This puffy paint snowglobe is so much fun for kids to make and use, plus it’s so simple to whip up!

Supplies:

• Colored cardstock or construction paper
• Elmer’s Glue
• Shaving cream
• Paintbrush
• Scissors
• Fork
• Snow globe template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)

Directions:

Start by downloading the snow globe template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this snow globe to life!

First, guide your child to glue the star to the top of the tree.

Next, help your child to glue the ornaments all over the tree.

Finish up the tree by gluing the trunk to the bottom and back of the tree.

Create the snow globe by gluing the bottom of the snow globe to the ball.

Place the completed Christmas tree in the middle of the snowglobe ball and glue it in place.

Make the homemade puffy paint by mixing equal parts shaving cream and Elmer’s glue in a bowl.  An 1/8 cup of each was more than enough to cover 2 snowglobes. You’ll know it’s the perfect consistency when it looks like marshmallow fluff.

Finally, encourage your child to take the puffy paint and paint a bunch of snow on the bottom of the snowglobe and snowflakes all around the snowglobe ball.
