Lately, we’ve been on a winter creating extravaganza! There’s nothing better than staying warm inside on a snow day and letting our creativity run wild.

This holiday season, we really wanted to make a statement with our decorations, and what better way to do that than by making our own?

This puffy paint snowglobe craft is just the cutest snowglobe we ever did see! It’s perfect for kids of all ages and uses simple supplies you can find in any store.

Snowglobe Craft For Kids

Our free template makes this activity even easier to do, and the homemade puffy paint lets your kids make a fun snowy scene!

This puffy paint snowglobe is so much fun for kids to make and use, plus it’s so simple to whip up!

Supplies:

Directions:

Start by downloading the snow globe template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this snow globe to life!

First, guide your child to glue the star to the top of the tree.

Next, help your child to glue the ornaments all over the tree.

Finish up the tree by gluing the trunk to the bottom and back of the tree.

Create the snow globe by gluing the bottom of the snow globe to the ball.

Place the completed Christmas tree in the middle of the snowglobe ball and glue it in place.

Make the homemade puffy paint by mixing equal parts shaving cream and Elmer’s glue in a bowl.  An 1/8 cup of each was more than enough to cover 2 snowglobes. You’ll know it’s the perfect consistency when it looks like marshmallow fluff.

Finally, encourage your child to take the puffy paint and paint a bunch of snow on the bottom of the snowglobe and snowflakes all around the snowglobe ball.

Puffy Paint Snow Globe Craft

Make this cute and easy puffy paint snow globe craft with the kids this winter!

Equipment

  • Scissors

Materials

  • Elmer’s Glue
  • Shaving cream
  • Paintbrush
  • Fork
  • Snow globe template

Instructions

  2. Does the puffy paint keep well in little containers or do they need to be used right away? Trying to make diy craft kits for my remote learning students this year.

    1. I would say not so much. It will keep and you can paint with it, but it loses all of it’s “puffiness” if you don’t use it shortly after making it.
