Kids can use their creativity and imagination to design their pumpkin scarecrow, making it great for both home and classroom use! This silly craft is perfect for all ages and works well as a solo project or a group activity.

Disguise A Pumpkin Craft

October and November can be tough for pumpkins, since people carve them, paint them, and even make pies out of them! This year, make things easier for some of the pumpkins by dressing them up in a disguise.
This project is a good way for kids to get some practice with scissors, gluing, following instructions, and even recognizing shapes that make up the scarecrow.
Kids will have a blast customizing their scarecrow pumpkins with their favorite colors, so be sure to download the free template and gather the supplies to help some pumpkins this year.

- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors

Directions
Start by downloading the scarecrow template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this pumpkin to life!

First, guide your child to glue the nose in the middle of the pumpkin, just above the mouth.

Take the eyes and help your child to glue them just above the nose, with one on each side.

Glue the hat patch to the middle of the hat. Use a marker to draw stitch marks around the patch. Next, glue the stem to the top and back of the scarecrow’s hat.

Take the scarecrow’s hair and glue it to the back and sides of the hat.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the hat to the top of the scarecrow pumpkin’s head.
