There’s nothing better than celebrating Valentine’s Day with some of the people you love the most – your kids!
Kids will have a blast (wink, wink) making this cute rocket Valentine craft. It’s an easy Valentine craft for kids that is simple to make and only uses a few common supplies and our free template.

Valentine Rocket Craft
We’ve made this rocket ship craft in the classic colors of pink and red, but don’t let that limit your child’s creativity!
Make it in any color that suits your child and give it to someone special, like Grandma or Grandpa! Watch our quick video tutorial below to see the steps to make this craft or read the directions below.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Rocket template (click the “click here to get your freebie” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this rocket to life!

First, guide your child to glue the tip at the top of the body of the rocket

Glue the base just at the bottom of the body of the rocket.

Place the three hearts in the middle of the rocket body and glue them down.

Take the fins and glue them to the back and middle of the rocket body. Do this for both sides.

Next, help your child to build the flames by gluing the orange flames to the middle of the yellow flames.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the flames to the back of the rocket base.

Instructions
- Download the rocket template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the tip at the top of the body of the rocket.
