Cute Sloth Handprint Craft [With FREE Template]

It’s simple, fun, and turns into a great keepsake too. Just download the free printable template and make it with your preschool, kindergarten, or elementary-aged child!

Easy Sloth Craft

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black marker
- Pencil
- Sloth template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)
Directions
Start by downloading the sloth template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this sloth to life!
First, encourage your child to take the sloth’s head and line it up with the thumb side of the handprint. Glue it in place, ensuring a seamless connection between the sloth and the handprint.
Next, guide your child to glue the sloth’s face to the middle of the head.
Use a black marker to draw in the eyes and a brown marker to add detail to the sloth’s nose.
Now, help your child to make the branch by gluing the three leaves on the skinny end of the branch.
Finally, interlace the sloth’s arms and legs (the fingers) around the thicker portion of the branch, then glue it in place.
Now your child has an adorable handprint craft that is a sweet keepsake!

Alligator Paper Bag Puppet – This alligator puppet is so fun and easy to make, your kids won’t be able to resist getting creative! All you need is a paper lunch bag, some construction paper, a few other supplies and you’re ready to go.
Tiger Headband Craft – Tigers are one of the most majestic animals in the world. They’re also really cute, which is why this tiger activity for kids is so much fun to make! All you need is some colored paper or markers and you can let your kids’ inner artist out.
Elephant Paper Plate Craft – Who doesn’t love a good elephant project? This one is extra fun because it uses paper plates! Just imagine all the trunk-twirling and ear-flapping your kiddo can do with their very own elephant friend.
Plus, they’ll get to paint, cut, and glue to their heart’s content. And when they’re done, you can hang their new creation on the fridge or even give it pride of place on the family bulletin board.
Lion Craft For Preschool – This lion idea is perfect for young kids to make. It’s easy and has a free template. Just print out the template, cut out the pieces, and glue them together. The finished product is sure to be a hit with your little ones.

Sloth Handprint Craft For Kids
Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black marker
- Pencil

Instructions
- Download the sloth template, print and cut out the pieces.
- Take the sloth’s head and line it up with the thumb side of the handprint. Glue it in place. You may need to trim off some excess paper to make it look seamless.
- Glue the sloth’s face to the middle of the head, then use the black marker to draw in the eyes. Use the brown marker to draw on the sloth’s nose.
- Make the branch by gluing the three leaves on the skinny end of the branch.
- Interlace the sloth’s arms and legs (the fingers) around the thicker portion of the branch and then glue it in place.
