It’s the perfect time of year to cozy up indoors. Light a fire, have a cup of hot chocolate, and spend time crafting with the kids.
We have just the craft to do with them this winter. No cold snow is needed to build this snowman. You’ll need a few basic craft supplies and a photo of your child’s face to make this adorable snowman photo craft!

Snowman Picture Craft

It’s a an easy peasy craft that will help kids hone their scissor skills, creativity, and fine motor skills by putting the snowman together. Plus, they’ll love personalizing their simple snowman craft with their face!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Photo of child
- Snowman template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this snowman to life!

First, guide your child in gluing the photo to the snowman’s head area.

Place the carrot nose over the child’s nose and glue it in place.

Next, help your child to glue the scarf on the neck portion of the snowman.

Take the stick arms and glue them on the back of both sides of the snowman’s body.

Create the hat by gluing the hat band to the middle of the hat.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the hat to the top of the snowman’s head.

- Download the snowman template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the photo to the snowman's head area.
