Beach Gnome Craft Idea

This activity is great to keep little hands busy and creative at home, in the classroom, or at daycare during the summer or when learning about the four seasons.
To get started, download and print our free template and gather a few basic supplies. Whether kids choose to create a boy gnome with a baseball cap or a girl gnome with a floppy sun hat, they’ll enjoy the process of creating!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors

Directions
Start by downloading the gnome template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this gnome to life!
First, encourage your child to glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Next, help your child to glue the lower part of the face to the top portion of the beard.
Now, place the nose below the bottom of the eyes and glue it in between them.
Position the hat on the top of the head and glue it in place.
Glue the waistband to the top portion of the shorts.
Place the shorts on the bottom portion of the body and glue it in place.
Attach the head and glue it to the top portion of the body.
Take the beach ball, color it in, and glue it to the center of the body.
Next, glue the hands to the left and right of the ball.
Finally, guide your child to glue the feet to the bottom of the shorts.

Summer Boy Gnome
- Download the gnome template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the eyes below the eyebrows.
- Next, glue the upper part of the face to the top portion of the white background paper.
- Now, place the nose below the bottom of the eyes and glue it in between them.
- Position the cap on the top of the head and glue it in place.
- Glue the waistband to the top portion of the shorts.
- Place the shorts on the bottom portion of the body and glue it in place.
- Attach the head and glue it to the top portion of the body.
- Take the ball and glue it to the center of the body.
- Next, glue the hands to the left and right of the ball.
- Finish off by gluing the feet to the bottom of the shorts.
Summer Girl Gnome
- Download the gnome template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Start by gluing the eyes to the inside of each eyelashes.
- Take the nose and glue them in between the eyes.
- Next, place the hair on both sides of the head, slightly angled inward. Glue the hair to the sides of the head.
- Finish up the head by gluing the hat to the top of the hair and head.
- Create the body by gluing the swim top to the top of the body.
- Now, glue the swim bottoms to the bottom of the body.
- Take the head and glue it to the top of the girl gnome's body.
- Next, color in the beach ball and glue it to the middle of the body.
- Arrange the hands on both sides of the beach ball and glue them in place.
- Finish the gnome by gluing the feet to the bottom of the gnome's body.
