Turkey Template Notes
Like most of our other templates, this turkey craft template has 2 different templates in the download.
Related: Paper Bag Turkey Craft
The first page of the template is best suited for using with one or two children. All of the turkey pieces are on one page. You simply print it out on white card stock, cut out then trace onto the correct colored card stock. You’ll have to cut out twice, but you’ll save card stock if you use this template.

The rest of the template pages are for using with multiple kids, like in a classroom, daycare or library setting.
In this version, each piece is separated by the color paper it is to be printed on. Just print it out on the correct colored paper, then have kids cut out the pieces one time!

Fine Motor Skill Practice
These paper roll turkeys are not only fun, but also help children work on their fine motor skills.
There’s a good amount of cutting in this craft, which helps strengthen the hand muscles and increase their scissor skills.

Gluing the small pieces in place, like on the face, also helps the kids work on precision and details.
Customizing This Craft
One of our favorite things to see is how kids can make a craft all their own! With this turkey craft, a few options came to mind.
First, you can let your child select the feather colors of their choice. Classic colors like brown, yellow, orange and red and nice, but don’t feel constrained to pick those one. Let your child choose some of their favorite colors to make their turkey totally unique.

Like the feathers, you can also change up the color of the turkey’s hat and hat band. Try a pink pilgrim’s hat with a blue glittery band.
Allowing your child (or student) to customize their turkey will allow for greater self expression and will help them be even more excited to make this fun craft!
