Toilet Paper Roll Walrus Craft [Free Template]

Winter’s all fun and cozy especially when we’re hanging out with the kids.  One fun thing to do this season is to introduce them to winter animals! 

This quick and easy toilet paper roll walrus craft is a fun way to start.

Crafting not only boosts your kids’ creativity but it also can help them with fine motor skills and following directions!

We’re giving you a free printable template for this activity to be all fun and no fuss! This craft is perfect for preschoolers, kindergarten, and elementary-aged children.

You can download the template in color or black and white version. Having both options makes it a craft that the whole family can do together!

Recycled Walrus Craft

Supplies

Directions

Download the walrus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Glue the eyes in the middle of the body piece, slightly below the top.

Glue the tusks behind the walrus’ mouth, then use the marker to draw on the nose and the whisker holes.

Place the mouth and nose piece just below the eyes and glue it in place.

Tape or glue the walrus body to the cardboard tube.

Finish off by gluing the flippers to the bottom of the toilet paper roll.

Your cute little walrus is now all done!

Toilet Paper Roll Walrus Craft

This toilet paper roll walrus is a fun arctic animal craft for kids to make this winter!

Materials

  • Toilet paper roll or new cardboard tube
  • Cardstock or construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape (optional)
  • Walrus template

Instructions

  1. Download the walrus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Glue the eyes in the middle of the body piece, slightly below the top.
  3. Glue the tusks behind the walrus' mouth, then use the marker to draw on the nose and the whisker holes.
  4. Place the mouth and nose piece just below the eyes and glue it in place.
