- Turkey template (unlock the image to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this turkey to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eye just below the eyebrow, near the right side of the turkey’s head.

Place the beak to the right of the eye and glue it half on and half off the turkey’s head.

Next, glue the snood to the bottom of the turkey’s beak.

Fold a piece of brown paper in half, then trace your child’s left hand so their pinky finger is along the fold line. Cut out the handprint, leaving the left side of the pinky side uncut.
Take the feathers and glue them onto the four fingers (leave the thumb uncovered). Optionally, you can trim these down. You can also have the kids color them instead of gluing paper on them.

Now, help your child to glue the turkey’s head to the thumb.

Position the turkey’s wing in the middle of the body and glue it in place.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the feet to the back and bottom of the card. Write a special message on the inside!

This handprint turkey craft is a sweet, simple, and fun handprint craft that kids can give to someone special this Thanksgiving!
