Groundhog Paper Plate Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Soon we’ll all watch to see if Punxsutawney Phil will see his shadow or not on Groundhog Day! Are you hoping for an early spring or a little more winter?

To get the kids in on the predictions and have a little fun with this holiday, have them make this fun groundhog paper plate craft!

Supplies

– Colored cardstock or construction paper – Paper plate – Paint (optional) – Paintbrush (optional) – Scissors – Glue – Groundhog template

Download the groundhog template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

If you’re making the ground brown, take the paper plate and paint it in 1-2 thin coats of brown paint.

Take the paper plate and cut the top couple of inches off of the top.

Next, glue the hole in the middle and almost to the top of the flat part of the paper plate.
