The 4th of July is a time to celebrate our country’s independence. It’s a time for family, friends, and fun. And what could be more fun than patriotic crafts for kids?

This popsicle stick Uncle Sam craft is the perfect way for kids to show their patriotism.

Materials

– Popsicle sticks – Permanent glue dots – Paint (optional) – Colored cardstock or construction paper – Scissors – Glue – Black marker – Uncle Sam template

Instructions

1. Download the Uncle Sam template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

2. Line up 11 popsicle sticks together. Take 3 additional popsicle sticks and stretch 2 glue dots along each of them.

3. Optional: If you want, paint the popsicle sticks in skin-colored paint. Let it dry completely before moving on. You can see in our pictures one craft was painted and the other was left plain.

4. Begin by gluing Uncle Sam's hair to the side and front of the popsicle sticks.

5. Place the eyebrows slightly below the top of the popsicle sticks and glue them in place.
