Kids love crafts and animals. Combine them together, and your kids will be over the moon! This turtle paper bag puppet craft is a fun activity that can be done any time of year.

This craft helps kids learn how to follow directions, work on scissors skills, creativity, and more!

What You Need

Brown Paper Bag Scissors Colored cardstock Glue Turtle template

Begin to create the turtle’s face by gluing the eyes just above the mouth.

Glue the cheeks below the eyes.

Take the completed turtle head and glue it in the middle of the flap portion of the brown paper bag.

Next, create the turtle’s body by gluing the arms almost to the top of the shell.

Place the legs on the bottom of the shell, with about an inch of them hanging off the shell. Glue it in place.

Glue the belly in the middle of the shell so it’s overlapping the arms and legs.

Take the completed body and glue it to the main portion of the brown paper bag.
