Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Baby Duck Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by taking the eye pieces and coloring in the irises. Then, glue the eye pieces onto the duck’s head, below the eyebrows.
  • Take the beak and color in the mouth and tongue. Next, glue the beak piece in the center of the face, just below the eyes.
  • Use a marker to draw small cheek circles on each side of the beak.
  • If creating the mallard, glue the neck stripe along the top edge of the duck’s body. If not, skip to the next step.
  • Take the head and glue it onto the top of the body.
  • Glue one wing behind each side of the body so the wings peek out from the sides.
  • Finally, glue the feet to the bottom of the body.
