Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Beaver handprint template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by gluing the eye pieces onto the beaver’s head, below the eyebrows.
  • Glue the teeth behind the bottom of the nose so they peek out underneath. Alternatively, if the teeth are too small for your child to cut out, skip this step and go to the next one.
  • Glue the completed nose and teeth piece onto the center of the beaver’s head. If your child didn't cut out the teeth, then glue the nose on and then draw the teeth on with a white Crayola Bold & Bright marker or white paint pen.
  • Use a marker to draw the inner ears in the middle of the outer ears.
  • Trace the child’s hand onto paper and cut out the handprint.
  • Glue the completed beaver head onto the thumb area of the handprint.
  • Finally, glue the tail behind the opposite side and back of the handprint so it peeks out from the body.
