Bee Toilet Paper Roll Craft For Kids

When it's time to go inside, but you still need to keep the kids busy as a bee, reach for the cardboard tubes and make this cute bee toilet paper roll craft!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Glue dot optional, but makes the craft easier
  • Toilet paper rolls or new cardboard tubes
  • Markers if using the color in version
  • Bee template

Instructions

  • Download the bee template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the stripes along the bottom part of the yellow body.

  • Place tape along one end of the bee's body, then tape it to the toilet paper roll. Take the other side of the body and place another strip of tape on it. Wrap it around the cardboard tube and tape it in place.
  • Take the bee's wings and fold about a 1/2" of the paper from the pointed side to the back of the wing. Use a glue dot (the easiest and fastest way to glue it in place) or glue on the section that you folded down and glue it in place along one side of the bee's body. Repeat for the other side.

  • Next, glue the antennae to the top and back of the bee's head. If you're using the version with the open eyes, glue the eyes in place below the eyebrows.
  • Finish up by placing a glue dot or regular glue to the middle of the bee's head and glue it to the top of the bee's body.
