With spring here, baby birds will be hatching and coming out of their shells. They're picking up the pieces to help your little one spell their name with this chick name craft.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Chick template

Instructions

  • Download the chick template, edit it to include the letters in your child(ren)'s name, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Start by gluing the eyes beneath both of the chick's eyebrows.
  • Place the beak between the bottom portion of the eyes and glue it in place.
  • Next, glue the belly to the middle of the chick's body.
  • Optionally: Add legs to the chick by gluing the feet to the back and bottom of the chick's body.
  • Take the completed chick and glue it to a piece of colored paper, leaving space on the bottom for the child's name.
  • Finish up by gluing the egg letters below the chick to spell out the child's name.
