Bring the beach home with this fun crab name craft! This activity is a great way to engage kids as they learn to spell their names. They get to create a cute beach scene by making a paper craft of a crab and arranging seashells to spell out their names.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Crab template

Instructions

  • Download the crab template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eye stalks to the center and top of the body.
  • Next, glue the eyes to the center of the eye stalks.
  • Position the arms on each body side and back then glue them in place.
  • Take the claws and glue them to the top of the arms.
  • Place the legs on both sides of the bottom part of the body and glue them in place.
  • Glue the sand to the bottom portion of the background paper.
  • Now, glue the crab to the top of the sand.
  • Finish off by gluing your child’s shell letters below the crab to spell their name.
