Disguise A Turkey Pilgrim Craft For Kids

This year, try your hand at making this disguise a turkey pilgrim. Not only is this craft fun to make, but it is also a great time to teach your kids about pilgrims and the tradition of celebrating the first Thanksgiving.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pilgrim turkey template

Instructions

  • Download the pilgrim template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes to the middle of the turkey's head.
  • Take the hair and glue it to the top of the turkey's head.
  • Create the hat by gluing the hat band to the middle of the hat. Then glue the outer buckle to the middle of the hat band and the inner buckle to the middle of the outer buckle.
  • Glue the completed hat to the top of the hair.
  • Next, glue the shirt to the turkey's body and then the collar to the top of the shirt.
  • Place the snood in the middle of the head, between the eyes, and glue it in place.
  • Glue the beak on top of the snood.
  • Position the wings on both sides of the shirt and glue them in place.
  • Take the turkey body and glue it to the middle of the feathers.
  • Finish up by gluing the feet to the bottom of the turkey's body.
