Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Duckling template

Instructions

  • Download the duckling template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by tracing your child’s hand onto a yellow or brown piece of paper and cut the handprint out.
  • Glue the duck’s head to the thumb of the handprint.
  • Place the duck’s bill halfway on the edge of the head and glue it in place.
  • Position the eye just to the left and slightly above the bill and glue it down.
  • Glue the cheek just below the eye.
  • Finish it off by gluing the legs to the bottom and back of the handprint duck body.
