Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Bright & Bold markers
  • Glue
  • Firefly Name Template

Instructions

  • Edit the template to add the letters of your child's name to the firefly pieces, print, and gather the materials for this fun activity. Alternatively, kids can write the letters on themselves.
  • Begin by gluing the lid to the top of the jar.
  • Glue the firefly letters onto the jar to spell the child’s name.
  • Use a marker to draw a small bug head and antennae above each letter.
  • Draw wings on both sides of each firefly letter with a white Bold & Bright marker or white paint pen.
  • Using a yellow Bold & Bright marker, draw curved flight paths underneath the fireflies inside the jar.
