Begin by dipping a fork into paint and stamping straw shapes near the top and on both sides of the background paper, in the areas outlined by the shapes.
Look for the hat band and glue it across the middle of the hat. Trim off any paper that falls off the sides.
Glue the hat patch onto the hat.
Draw short stitch lines around the hat patch.
Glue the eye pieces in the middle of the head, above the mouth.
Take the completed hat and glue it onto the top of the head.
Using a marker, draw the triangle nose below the eyes.
Next, use a pink marker to draw the cheeks on the sides of the mouth.
Glue one overall strap onto each side and back of the top of the overalls.
Glue the overall pocket onto the center of the overalls.
Optionally, use a marker to draw a checkered pattern on the shirt.
Take the overalls and glue it onto the shirt to complete the scarecrow’s outfit.
Using a marker, draw buttons on the top of the overalls, right below the straps.
Glue the scarecrow's body near the bottom center of the painted background.
Finally, glue the head above the scarecrow's body.
