Fork Painted Shamrock Craft

This fork painted shamrock craft is a great way for preschool and kindergarten kids to explore painting in a different way and decorate for St. Patrick’s Day with their own handmade art!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Green paint
  • Plastic fork
  • Marker
  • Shamrock Template

Instructions

  • Download the shamrock template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  • Dip a fork into green paint and stamp along the shamrock outline and on the inside to create a textured effect. Let dry completely before moving on.
  • Once the paint dries, glue the stem to the bottom of the shamrock.
  • Glue the bowtie to the top of the stem.
  • Attach the two eyes to to the middle of the shamrock.
  • Use a black marker to draw eyebrows above the eyes.
  • Create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.
  • Finish up by gluing the completed mouth below the eyes.
