Download the gingerbread template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Create the gingerbread face by gluing the eyes in the middle of the face, just above the mouth.

Next, take the cheeks and glue them on either side of the mouth.

Take the icing hair and glue it to the top of the head, just above the eyes. Trim off any excess paper from the top.

Glue the bow to the top of the head for a girl or below the smile for a boy.

Place the completed gingerbread boy or girl on a colored piece of paper and glue it down. Cut out, leaving a border around the gingerbread head.

Position the writing prompt in the middle of a blank colored paper (the same as the background of the head) and leave a larger gap at the top of the paper to have room to glue the head in place. Glue it down.

Place the gingerbread head at the top of the writing prompt paper and glue it down.

Create the gingerbread arms by gluing the icing decorations near the end of the hand.

Take the hands and glue them to each of the top corners of the writing prompt paper.

Finish off by completing the writing prompt.
