Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Gingerbread man template

Instructions

  • Download the gingerbread man template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by spreading glue on a small section of the gingerbread man. Take the tissue paper, scrunch it up, and glue it to the background. Make your way around the outline by spreading more glue and placing tissue paper on the gingerbread man until the entire outline is filled.
  • Take the icing hair and glue it to the top of the gingerbread man's head.
  • Next, take the eyes and glue them on the head, below the hair.
  • Place the mouth below the eyes and glue it in the middle.
  • If you're making a gingerbread boy, glue the bowtie to the neck area. If you're making a gingerbread girl, take the bow and glue it to the top of the head.
  • Next, glue the button in the middle of the body, below the bowtie (if you have one).
  • Finish up by gluing the icing decorations to the arms and legs.
