A great way to keep the turkey safe is to disguise him as something else! Let's help him go undercover with this gingerbread man turkey disguise. With the turkey dressed up as a sweet treat, he'll be able to avoid being the farmer’s Thanksgiving dinner!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Gingerbread turkey template

Instructions

  • Download the gingerbread man turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Start by gluing the eyes to the middle of the turkey's head.
  • Glue the snood just below the eyes, then glue the beak on top of it.
  • Next, glue the buttons in the middle of the turkey's body.
  • Place the icing hair at the top of the head and glue it in place.
  • Glue the bow either on the neck as a bowtie or on the hair as a hair bow.
  • Take the wings and glue them on both sides of the turkey's body.
  • Finish up the turkey's body by gluing the feet to the bottom of the body.
  • Create the gingerbread feathers by gluing the white middle feather piece to the middle of the largest brown feathers. Next, glue the smallest brown feathers to the middle of the white feathers.
  • Wrap it up by gluing the turkey's body to the middle of the feathers.
