Gingerbread Name Craft For Kids

While you wait for the cookies to cool enough to decorate, your kids can make their own gingerbread name craft that requires no baking!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • White paint pen or white Bold & Bright marker optional
  • Gingerbread Template

Instructions

  • Download the gingerbread template, print, and cut out the pieces you'll need.
  • Begin by gluing the hair to the top of the gingerbread’s head.
  • Glue both eyes just below the hair.
  • To make a boy, place the bowtie just below the mouth and glue it in place. To make a girl, place the bow on the hair and glue it in place.
  • Position the buttons in the middle of the gingerbread’s body and glue it down.
  • Draw icing decorations on the arms and legs.
  • Place the completed gingerbread on a background piece of paper and glue it down.
  • Finish up by arranging the letters below the gingerbread to spell out the child’s name.
