Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Pencil
  • Ruler optional
  • Glue stick
  • Bee template

Instructions

  • Download the bee template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Start by gluing the cheeks, one on each side, beneath the eyes.
  • Place the antennae behind the head and at slight angle and glue in place.
  • Trace your child's hand onto a piece of yellow paper and cut it out. Take a black marker and a ruler to draw black stripes onto the handprint.
  • Next, glue the head to the base side of the handprint.
  • Finish off the bee by gluing one wing to the front of the bee, on the handprint. Take the other wing, flip it the opposite way to the first wing and glue it to the back of the handprint.
