Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Black pom pom
  • Hedgehog name template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Open the PDF in Adobe Reader to add your child's name to the leaf letters. Alternatively, you or your child can write them on the leaves.
  • Begin by gluing the eye onto the front of the hedgehog’s body, below the eyebrow.
  • Use a marker to add the cheek detail below the eye.
  • Take the spines piece and glue it onto the top of the hedgehog’s body.
  • Glue the ear onto the upper right side of the hedgehog’s head, near the eye.
  • Glue the back legs behind the bottom of the body so the feet peek out underneath.
  • Take a black pom pom and glue it onto the tip of the hedgehog’s face to represent the nose.
  • Glue the letter leaves across the hedgehog’s spines in the correct order to spell the child's name.
