This toilet paper roll hedgehog craft is a fun and easy woodland animal craft for preschool and kindergarten kids.

Materials

  • Toilet paper roll or cardboard tube
  • Cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Tape optional
  • Black marker
  • Hedgehog template

Instructions

  • Download the hedgehog template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Glue the hedgehog body to the middle of the brown rectangle, then glue the belly just under the mouth. Use scissors to trim off any excess paper that hangs below the rectangle.
  • Place the arms on both sides of the hedgehog body and glue in place.
  • Use the black marker to draw on the hedgehog's nose just above the mouth.
  • Glue on the template eyes or use googly eyes.
  • Place tape on one end of the brown rectangle and tape to the cardboard tube. Roll the paper around it then secure the other end with another piece of tape.
  • Flatten the cardboard tube a bit, then add glue to the backside of the hedgehog and glue to the hedgehog quills.
