Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue
- Markers
- Humpback whale template
Instructions
- Download the humpback whale template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Take the eyes and glue them just above and outside the whale's smile.
- Position the whale's cheek just below the eye and glue them in place.
- Use a grayish blue marker to draw curved lines along the belly. Next, glue the completed belly just below the mouth.
- Use a dark blue marker to draw spots along the top side of the whales' head.
- Tape a headband extender on each side of the base of the headband.
- Place the headband on your child's head to determine the size, then tape it closed to form a circle.
- Finish off by taping the whale's fluke to the back, inside of the headband.
