Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Bold & Bright Markers
  • Ruler (optional)
  • Mexican Guitar Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by gluing the top of guitar piece to the upper end of the neck piece.
  • Gue the completed neck to the top of the guitar body just above the sound hole.
  • Use a ruler and white Bold & Bright marker to draw straight lines across the sound hole to create the strings.
  • Glue the eye pieces below the sound hole and just above the smile.
  • Draw the eyebrows above the eyes with a marker.
  • Color in the mouth area with the red Bold & Bright marker to make the tongue.
  • Glue the body decoration to the bottom part of the guitar body.
  • Finish up with decorations. Use markers, stickers, and any other materials to embellish the guitar.
