Materials

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Permanent glue dots or hot glue if you prefer that
  • Paint we use acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Monster template

Instructions

  • Download the monster template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Paint the popsicle sticks in 1-2 thin coats of paint and let dry completely before moving on.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes at the top of the popsicle sticks.
  • Take the eyebrows and glue them to the top of the eyes.
  • Glue the nose in the middle of the popsicle sticks, just below the eyes.
  • Create the mouth by gluing the teeth to the top of the mouth, then gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.
  • Position the mouth below the nose and glue it in place.
  • If you're adding horns, flip the popsicle sticks over and glue them to the top corners.
  • Take the wings and glue them to the middle and back of the popsicle sticks.
