Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Elmer's 2x glue stick
  • Glue dot (optional)
  • Pink ribbon
  • Flower Template

Instructions

  • Download the flower template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing smiley faces onto the front flowers. Glue the eyes onto the flower center with the eyelashes.
  • Take the completed flowers and glue them together so the sides are slightly overlapping.
  • Next, glue the background flowers to the back of the front flowers, overlapping slightly for a bouquet look.
  • Now, glue the green rectangular strips as stems to the backs of a few of the flowers.
  • Place the flowers in the center of the background paper and glue them down.
  • Trace your child's hand and forearm on a piece of paper and cut it out. Position the handprint at the base of the stems and glue it in place. Trim off any part of the forearm that falls off the paper.
  • Next, tie a small bow using a thin ribbon.
  • Finish off by gluing the bow where the flower stems come together, creating the look of a held bouquet. We recommend using a glue dot, but a strong glue stick will work as well.
