Nutcracker Headband Craft For Kids

Kids love all the different Christmas nutcrackers displayed this time of year, so we made a fun nutcracker headband craft for them to dress up like one, too!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Crayons or markers if using the color in version
  • Nutcracker template

Instructions

  • Download the nutcracker template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the teeth to the middle and bottom of the nutcracker's head.

  • Place the mustache at the top of the teeth and glue it in place.
  • Next, glue the nose just above the mustache, in the middle of the head.
  • Glue the eyes on both sides of the nose.

  • Take the eyebrows and glue them above both of the eyes.
  • Create the hat by gluing the crown decoration to the bottom of the hat. Next, glue the top decoration to the top and back of the hat.
  • Place the completed hat at the top of the nutcracker's head and glue it in place.

  • Position the hair behind the head on both sides of the nutcracker and glue it in place.
  • Next, glue the completed nutcracker head to one of the headband extenders.
  • Finish up by taping an extender on both sides of the headband base.
